Every axe in the shop is one-of-a-kind, but sometimes you want something specific. A particular era, a certain handle wood, a size that fits your hand. Commission work starts with a conversation and ends with an axe built exactly the way you want it.
How It Works
Reach Out
Message Travis on Instagram or Facebook with what you're looking for — a specific era, style, or intended use.
Source the Head
Travis will hunt for the right axe head based on your specs. This can take days or weeks — the right steel matters.
Discuss the Build
Handle wood, length, finish, edge profile — every detail is your call. Travis will advise, but you decide.
Restoration
The build happens. 6–10 hours of shop time, documented along the way so you can see the transformation.
Delivery
Shipped in a custom crate, edge wrapped in leather, handle wrapped in felt. Fully insured.
What to Expect
Commission pricing depends on the head sourced, handle wood selected, and complexity of the restoration. Most commissions range from $200–$500, with a deposit required upfront to begin sourcing.
Timeline varies based on sourcing — Travis won't start a build until the right head is found. Expect 2–6 weeks from deposit to delivery.
